We are excited to use our industrial space, proven entrepreneurial spirit, and access to capital, to market the Sunbelt Region as the hometo new and expanding businesses. Here is a brief overview of our economy:


Agriculture

This region encompasses some of the finest farmland in North America and maybe the world. Agriculture is the cornerstone of Sunbelt’s economy. The fertile soil combined with unusually high temperatures and a long growing season makes this region the perfect place to grow many conventional and specialty crops.
Cereal grains and oilseeds make up a large portion of production for the area, but the climate is also well suited to sunflowers, corn, beans, field peas, potatoes, and a variety of different vegetable crops. The Rhineland area is one of the few areas in Canada well suited to growing soybeans. There are also some small livestock operations in the area.
Many businesses have set up shops to cater to the region's farmers. Throughout the community, businesses provide supplies, inputs and equipment ranging from seed, fertilizers and chemicals to equipment, parts and mechanical services.


Industry

Manufacturing firms have taken root in the Sunbelt region. Many of these firms produce agriculturally based products such as equipment andparts. Some produce specialty goods for domestic shipment and international export.
There are many other attributes of the region is multi-cultural and highly skilled labour force. This region hosts the largest printing company in Canada, large oil processing plant as well as a number of local entrepreneurial owned agricultural related businesses.
This region has four Industrial Parks with highway access with a choice of prime location sites for industrial industry. All industrial parks have access to high speed internet, abundant water and hydro electricity.
